As we welcome a new season and look to the warm weather ahead, it’s time to spring into action!

Even though the sun is shining more, and you may be looking forward to relaxing days outdoors, the everyday effects of hunger will still be keeping thousands of our neighbors worrying about tomorrow.

There are so many ways to spring into action to help, though! You can:
• Give a monetary donation to assist in purchasing food and necessities.
Donate food to help keep Harvest Hope’s shelves stocked.
Volunteer your time to pack food boxes or help at a distribution.

Did you know that every year Harvest Hope utilizes 10,000 volunteers or more to keep operations running at our facilities? On average, volunteers put in more than 66,000 hours of service which allows us to save over $1.3 million in staffing costs - putting that saved money to use directly in the communities we serve.

Right now, thousands of our neighbors are looking at bare shelves and empty refrigerators wondering where their next meal will come from. You can help.

With donors like you springing into action, we're able to provide food to fill their table and vital hope for a better tomorrow.

Hunger waits for no one, but you can help offer some relief. Giving back is a great way to start off the season in a meaningful way.

Harvest Hope is South Carolina’s largest food bank, providing over 20 million meals on average to neighbors in need across the Midlands, Pee Dee and Upstate. Harvest Hope is on a mission to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in South Carolina. We rescue nutritious food from stores throughout the state and distribute it to food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens.

We operate programs that provide food for our most vulnerable citizens – children, seniors, and rural residents who don’t have access to grocery stores. We also run our own emergency food pantries in Greenville and Columbia where anyone in need can get a week’s supply of groceries for free.

Harvest Hope began in 1981 as the result of a shared vision of business leaders and the faith community, who set out to provide for the hungry in Columbia. Since then, Harvest Hope has increased its mission to feed the hungry across 20 counties in South Carolina.
