Harvest Hope Food Bank is proud to partner with the Columbia Fireflies at Segra Park for an exciting community-wide food drive initiative, Hits for Hope: Harvest Hope & Fireflies Food Drive Challenge.
Located in the heart of downtown Columbia, Segra Park is more than just a ballpark—it is a year-round community hub and gathering place designed to bring people together for sports, entertainment, and service. As the home of the Columbia Fireflies, the stadium welcomes thousands of fans throughout the season, making it the perfect setting to rally the Midlands around the mission of ending hunger.
Through this campaign, fans, partners, and community members will be invited to bring non-perishable food donations to Segra Park on game days and special events. Every donation collected will directly support Harvest Hope’s mission of providing nutritious meals and hope to individuals and families facing food insecurity across South Carolina.
From home runs on the field to home-cooked meals for families in need, Hits for Hope connects the excitement of baseball with the power of community generosity. Together, Harvest Hope and the Columbia Fireflies are turning every game into an opportunity to make a meaningful impact—one donation, one fan, and one act of kindness at a time.
In Support of Harvest Hope Food Bank
Harvest Hope is South Carolina’s largest food bank, providing over 25 million meals on average to neighbors in need across the Midlands, Pee Dee and Upstate. Harvest Hope is on a mission to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in South Carolina. We rescue nutritious food from stores throughout the state and distribute it to food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens.
We operate programs that provide food for our most vulnerable citizens – children, seniors, and rural residents who don’t have access to grocery stores. We also run our own emergency food pantries in Greenville and Columbia where anyone in need can get a week’s supply of groceries for free.
Harvest Hope began in 1981 as the result of a shared vision of business leaders and the faith community, who set out to provide for the hungry in Columbia. Since then, Harvest Hope has increased its mission to feed the hungry across 20 counties in South Carolina.
