At the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS), the mission is to be boldly innovative in improving the health and quality of life for South Carolinians. Together, we can extend that mission beyond healthcare by helping address another essential component of well-being: access to nutritious food.
SCDHHS is partnering with Harvest Hope Food Bank to fight hunger and support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout South Carolina.
Through this virtual food drive, every donation helps Harvest Hope provide food to neighbors in need, including children, seniors, and families facing difficult times. Because good health starts with access to the resources people need to thrive, your generosity can help build stronger, healthier communities across our state.
๐ Every Dollar Makes a Difference! Harvest Hope can provide the equivalent of one meal for every $3.58 donated.
Whether you give $10, $25, $50, or whatever you can, your contribution helps bring hope to our neighbors and puts meals on tables across South Carolina.
๐ Together, We Can Make a Difference!
By combining SCDHHS's commitment to improving health and quality of life with Harvest Hope's mission to fight hunger, we can help create a healthier, stronger, and more hopeful South Carolina.
Give Hope. Nourish Lives. Strengthen Communities.

In Support of Harvest Hope Food Bank
Harvest Hope is South Carolinaโs largest food bank, providing over 25 million meals on average to neighbors in need across the Midlands, Pee Dee and Upstate. Harvest Hope is on a mission to eliminate hunger and food insecurity in South Carolina. We rescue nutritious food from stores throughout the state and distribute it to food pantries, shelters, and soup kitchens.ย
We operate programs that provide food for our most vulnerable citizens โ children, seniors, and rural residents who donโt have access to grocery stores. We also run our own emergency food pantries in Greenville and Columbia where anyone in need can get a weekโs supply of groceries for free.ย
Harvest Hope began in 1981 as the result of a shared vision of business leaders and the faith community, who set out to provide for the hungry in Columbia. Since then, Harvest Hope has increased its mission to feed the hungry across 20 counties in South Carolina.
