Food banks across the country are experiencing unprecedented need from people in our community who can't put food on their tables. Harvest Hope can make our dollars go a long way, providing 5 meals for every $1 earned.
People in the Hamptons and Old Woodlands neighborhoods want to help. We have set ambitious goals: 100 donors, $3,000, and 15,000 meals by Friday, May 22, 5 p.m. Consider donating what it would cost your family to bring home takeout for just one night.
To generate some excitement, include the name of your neighborhood (Hampton Leas, Hampton's Grant, Hampton Trace, Old Woodlands, etc.) in the comment section when you make your donation, and let's see which neighborhood has the greatest number of donors.
Nonperishable donations will also be collected (but are not part of the competition) at 400 Hampton Trace Lane on Wednesday, May 20, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday, May 21, from noon to 8 p.m. Just drop your bagged items in the bed of the truck in the driveway. The truck will also be at the veggie pick-up on Thursday morning, May 21, at 454 Dean Hall Lane.
